The Reason

Exodus of the youth and the solution

Exodus Youth:

Leave the church at the ages of 18 to 22.

Remaining Youth:

Between the ages of 18 to 22 stay in church

Studies have proven that the CHURCH SHOULD NOT WAIT for future generations to be disciples of Christ.

Tweens, ages 9 to 13, are at high risk of becoming part of this statics, if we do not intervene. Ruta 6:7, desires to be part of this solution in providing biblical tools that will help parents communicate their faith and values to their children.

Why Latinos Tweens?

CRITICAL GROUP: As Latinos, there is a separation of culture and home of origin. Although the new country may be better in some ways than the home country, it is still alien with an unfamiliar culture and language. This adds to the many stresses of Latino families.

Ruta 67

CRITICAL AGE: The transition from childhood to adolescence is a pivotal period in a child’s development, marked by significant cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual milestones. This period is particularly crucial in the formation of morality and spirituality, as children’s growing ability to think abstractly allows them to contemplate matters of good, evil, hope, and love.

CRITICAL TIMES: Young people have left the church more than ever in history. Most immigrants would agree that they came to this country seeking a better life for themselves and their children’s future. Therefore, it would be detrimental for the second generation to lose faith in God. It is necessary to intervene and nurture a solid and unwavering faith.
